ProMox/ReMox

editor's choice best hair loss treatment

Originally developed by Dr. Oscar Klein of Physician's Hair Growth, ProMox and ReMox are both collections of custom Minoxidil solutions. While similar in some ways, each line is a distinct hair loss treatment in its own right. ProMox, the newer of the two collections, contains a combination of products which include 5% Minoxidil, topical Finasteride and Tretinoin. The products in the ReMox collection contain 5 to 15% Minoxidil along with azeleic acid, progesterone, hydrocortisone and Tretinoin.

ProMox/ReMox Benefits

According to the manufacturers of ProMox and ReMox, these products are designed to help regrow healthier hair all over the scalp in a manner faster than competing hair loss products. Plus the manufacturers assert that ProMox and ReMox treatments are more affordable than other brands. The collections of ProMox and ReMox products both include a range of lotions, sprays, gels, foams and shampoos with varying degrees of Minoxidil.

ProMox/ReMox Side Effects

The most common side effects associated with ProMox and ReMox include itching and scalp irritation. However, a concentration of Minoxidil of 5% or greater, as found in ProMox and ReMox, has been shown to yield significantly more side effects. Such a concentration of Minoxidil can cause hair to grow on your ears or forehead if you happen to get any on these portions of your skin. Plus, some consumers have reported other rare side effects associated with Minoxidil such as dizziness, rash, upset stomach, headache, scalp burning and increased hair loss among others. Even more potentially fatal side effects like fainting, lightheadedness, difficulty breathing, chest pain and irregular heartbeats have been reported.

Does ProMox/ReMox Work?

While the makers of ProMox and ReMox making glowing claims regarding these hair loss treatments, their effectiveness is questionable. For one, the presence of such high concentrations of Minoxidil invites the presence of too many uncomfortable and potentially fatal side effects. Plus, antiquated hair loss products like ProMox and ReMox are being eclipsed by more effective treatments which use nanotechnology and other innovations which safely increase the speed and quantity of results.
